Full job description

The candidate chosen is responsible for:

  • Cleaning and maintaining of equipment
  • Handling and feeding honey bee colonies
  • Managing the production of honey and pollination services
  • Harvesting and extraction of honey
  • Detecting and treatment of bee diseases
  • Building of hives and replacement of combs
  • Packaging of hive products
  • Making sure that breeding yards are kept at high production levels
  • Maintaining and trimming of bee-yard
  • Operating farm trucks and forklifts
  • Maintaining food processing and honey extraction
  • Eradicating diseased bee colonies

  • Should be able to remain calm in tense situation
  • Must be able to handle bee stings

Experience required

  • 1-2 years of experience working in a related role
