The sponsor of the scholarship is African Development Bank through the High Education Science and Technology (HEST). Before a student can be eligible for it, they must fulfill certain criteria.

- Ugandan citizens
- Must be a postgraduate or Master’s student
- Not above 45 years old
- The applicants shouldn’t be sponsored by any scholarship program

- Must be a good citizen of a Sub-Saharan country either by birth or naturalization.
- A conditional or provincial admission from either Makerere University, Martyrs University, or Wangari Maathai Institute.

- Applicants must have some level of English proficiency for their application to be considered
Scholarship Benefit:
- The tuition fee of the student is covered, but other costs such as feeding, accommodation, transportation, etc. will be met by the student. Also, regional students have the avenue or receiving full tuition fee, while National students can get half tuition fees.

IFRA Fieldwork Grants For Masters & Doctoral Students:
It is among the scholarships in Uganda offered by the French Institute for Research in Africa. Master’s and Doctoral students are the beneficiaries of the scholarship grant, and it helps them to carry out more research in their given field in different Eastern countries such as Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda.
Criteria for the Scholarship:
- Applicants for the IFRA grants must possess either a Master’s or Doctoral degree

KCMUCo MSc Scholarships:
The full meaning of KCMUCo is Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College and they are responsible for offering scholarships to Tanzania students. It is one of the regional scholarships in Uganda to finance capital projects in Agriculture, and Master’s students can benefit from the scholarship. The main aim of the scholarship is to improve Monitoring and Evaluation and Science in Computing.
Criteria for the Scholarship:
- A research paper is essential for any applicant applying for the scholarship
- Finish the master’s degree within the stipulated time frame. For instance, if a student is undergoing a postgraduate degree that is two years, it is expected for them to finish it within the two years stipulated for the program.

IHSU Scholarships For Ugandan Students:
The International Health Sciences University is the major organizer for the scholarship. The motive for the scholarship is to groom graduates with good conduct and the right skills to possess adequate skills and knowledge that will make them become good citizens in their respective countries.

- They must be admitted to a given course before they can get the IHSU scholarships for Uganda.
