Wilfrid Laurier University also known as WLU or Laurier is amongst the top 30 leading universities in Canada. It’s a public university located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. However, it has a second campus located in Brantford which is a city in South-western Ontario, Canada.

Wilfrid Laurier University was established in 1960 and named in the honour of Sir Wilfrid Laurier, who is the seventh Prime Minister of Canada. However, the motto of the intuition states “Veritas Omnia Vincit” in Latin which means “Truth conquers all” in English.

The University offers over 100 degree programs and features over 17,000 full-time undergraduates, 1,541 part-time undergraduates, 1,000 full-time postgraduates, 610 part-time postgraduates and 553 academic staffs.

The Wilfrid Laurier University offers up to five scholarships which includes;

  1. Farouk and Dawn Ahamed International Student Scholarship which is valued between $500 to $1500 annually and available for all international students
  2. Walter Metzger Memorial Bursary Fund which is also valued at the range of $500 to $1500 annually and available for every international student coming to study under a study permit.
  3. Dr WJ Villaume Scholarship also valued at $500 to $1500 and open for every international students.
  4. Inspiring Lives Scholarship is another scholarship program which is valued at $500 to $1500 annually and made available for every foreign student.
  5. President’s Gold Scholarship is one of the top Scholarship programs in Canada with annual value of CAD $5000, renewable yearly and awarded to international students with superior performance. It’s requested that every eligible student for the Scholarship must achieve a GPA of 10.5 or higher based on completion of a minimum of 5.0 full credits (10 courses) during the past academic year.
