The school is ranked amongst the top 100 medical institutions in the U.S. In terms of ranking, it is 93rd in research and 91st in primary care. In the first two years, their MD program works alongside foundational coursework, while the last two years are for elective clerkship and mandatory courses.

This is among the osteopathic medical schools in New Jersey founded in 1976. In 2019, it was ranked 93rd in research and 91st in primary care. The school has renewed its D.O curriculum and they will launch it in the fall of 2019. There are two medical programs for students to choose from, the conventional D.O. program which has a single-pass system combining organ so and clinical experiences with basic sciences. As a result of this, students have clinical experiences to practice what they have learned.

The second program in the school is problem-based learning and is centered on students and a double-pass system. The process of learning is more independent and medical studies are exposed to different clinical cases to help them have advanced clinical reasoning skills. They have courses like sexuality, community service, the science behind systems of healthcare, and end-of-life care.

The school has four dual degree programs for their students in courses like Public Health, Business Administration, and Cell and Molecular Biology, etc. You need to have a good GPA that will help you stand a chance of getting admission into the school with at least a GPA of 3.50 and a total MCAT score of 505.
